Part-time Art Teacher

Part-time Art Teacher (15-20 hours per week) needed at NEW Academy of Science and Arts charter elementary school for 2010-2011 school year. NEW Academy is a bilingual (Spanish/English) independent charter school located in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles.

The following responsibilities are required:

-Provide art instruction including art history and technique to students in grades K-5 on a weekly basis.
-Attend professional development sessions and collaborate with classroom teachers and administration.
-Create art bulletin boards and maintain student artwork to be displayed throughout the school.
The following qualifications are required:
-CA Teaching Credential
-NCLB Highly Qualified
-Bilingual English/Spanish
